Brief Description
The Sexual Offences (Medical Treatment) Regulations 2012 are made pursuant to Section 35 (3) and (5) of the Sexual Offences Act of 2006, as required of the Minister responsible for health. These regulations are particularly significant as they provide the legal basis for access to free medical treatment for victims of sexual violence in public health facilities and authorize the filling in and production of medicolegal documents (P3 Form and Post Rape Care Form) by nurses and clinicians in addition to doctors.
